I made it to the camp

well, after a hellish 7(!) hour drive last night in torrential rain i
made it to the office in Rengat. Three and a half hours of sleep
later, i was awake and on my way to meet the ponpong (boat).
Fortunately it was high tide so we could take a short cut in the boat
(reducing the 2 hour boat ride to a 45 minute boat ride)

I'm delirious and have plenty to do to be brought up to speed, i've
eaten hardly anything and really need to sleep, but can't (actually,
my bed (in the comms room) is being sat on by a typing journalist)
until tonight.

sounds crap eh? at least i'm in the jungle. now where are those
antimalarials....
